Good for unique finds, delivery took a bit

I ordered a few 'Fabric by the Yard' pieces and a 'Mystery Bundle' from FABSCRAP last month. The ordering process was pretty standard on their website, easy enough to navigate. I got a confirmation email right away. Shipping cost seemed fair for the weight of fabric. It took about 8 days to reach me in California, which felt a little long, but it wasn't urgent. The quality of the fabrics themselves was really impressive for deadstock-the silk I got was beautiful, no flaws I could find, and the mystery bundle had some interesting cottons I wouldn't have picked myself. I had a question about one of the fabric's fiber content, and their customer support got back to me within a day with a helpful answer. Overall, a good experience for unique materials, just plan for a slightly longer delivery time.

Got some cool stuff for my projects

I grabbed some 'Lace' and a roll of 'Pattern Paper' last week. The website was easy enough to poke around on. Everything arrived in about five days, which was pretty decent. The lace was nicer than I thought it'd be for the price, definitely usable for what I'm making. The pattern paper is just pattern paper, does the job. It's cool knowing this stuff isn't just getting tossed. Solid experience overall, might grab some more 'Buttons' next time.

Are these fabrics actually good quality? I know it's deadstock and all, but sometimes 'scraps' can mean super worn out stuff. Just wondering if it's worth it for garments.

Oh definitely! I've gotten some amazing silk and wool for dresses. It's usually designer leftovers, so it's really nice quality. Not like, thrift store scraps, you know?

I'm pretty sure fabric sales are final, especially for the cut yardage and scrap packs. I'd double-check their FAQ before buying if you're worried.

Yeah, I think their policy is no returns on fabric, cause it's all unique and cut for you. So choose carefully!

I got a textile scrap pack once and it was pretty fun! Got some really cool textured pieces that I ended up using for accents on a bag. Don't expect huge yardage though, it's usually smaller bits.

I did a small mystery bundle and it was a mixed bag, literally! Some super nice silks, some weird synthetic I'm not sure what to do with. Good for experimenting though.

I think they calculate shipping based on weight, so yeah, if you get a ton of fabric, it'll go up. But I haven't found it to be outrageous compared to other places.

Yeah, it's weight-based. I bought like 10 yards of denim once and it wasn't too bad, but it definitely wasn't free. Worth it for the unique stuff though.
